It allows you to scan in your check deposits from home, the office, or even while traveling using your PC, Mac, or laptop and a scanner. Now you will never have to drive to a branch to make a deposit or mail in your checks.

Frequently Asked Questions:

What types of checks cannot be submitted with Online Deposit?

The following checks cannot be scanned with Online Deposit:

1. Savings Bonds

2. Foreign Checks

3. Checks made out to a Third Party

4. Checks previously endorsed by Main Street Financial FCU

5. Checks written from your account at another financial institution. For example: Jane Doe writes a check from her checking account at ABC Credit Union to deposit in her Main Street Financial FCU checking account.

Will there be a hold on my check scanned with Online Deposit?

1. Checks drawn from Main Street Financial FCU, with our routing number (265473540) on the bottom, may be subject to a one day hold.

2. If a check is drawn on a financial institution in the Sixth Federal Reserve District, a one business day hold will be placed.

3. All other checks will be subject to a five-business day hold.

How long should I hold onto my check after I scan it with Online Deposit?

After you mark the original check "scanned" or "processed", you should securely store the original check for 60 days from the time you receive notice from Main Street Financial FCU that the file containing the images of such checks has been received.

Can I use Online Deposit if I don't use Internet Explorer and/or Windows?

Firefox 2+ for Windows/MAC and Safari 3+ users may use Online Deposit as well as Internet Explorer.

  • Browser: Internet Explorer® 6+, Firefox 2+ or Safari 3+

  • TWAIN compliant document scanner

What types of scanners can I use with Online Deposit?

Most TWAIN compliant document scanners are supported.

"Help with Scanners and Drivers" near the bottom of the New Deposit screen.
