Main Street Financial

Why are you changing the name?

Today we serve a diverse membership of almost 19,000 members! With our proud heritage and mission in mind, as well as the changing needs of our membership, the Board of Directors decided it's time for a new, more inclusive name that represents our institution. We also believe that with the new name we will be able to reach more people and provide them with the benefits of our Credit Union.

Why did you choose Main Street Financial FCU?

We took a look at our heritage, where we came from and how we have evolved. We believe Main Street Financial reflects the strong family and financial values that are at the heart of the Credit Union and the communities we serve.

Is LA DOTD FCU being sold or acquired?

No! No! and No! The only thing that will change is the name of the Credit Union.

Isn't this going to be expensive and cost the members too much?

There will be no direct cost to the membership. Seeing that a name change was a necessity for future Credit Union growth, we made provisions in the annual budget for the expense.

What does the change mean for me as a member?

You will still receive the same level of WOW member service combined with the same promises we've made and delivered in the past.

Will there be any changes to my accounts?

No, everything will remain the same and will function as they always have. Our routing number and your account number are still the same. You can continue to use your checks, debit card and credit card as you always have. The new name will appear on new checks and new cards. We will also continue to offer competitive rates on all of our available products.

When does the new name go into effect?

The new name is effective July 20, 2009. New branch signage, stationery, and other items will begin to display our new brand image.
